Hanne has nearly a decade of experience in funeral service, beginning in cemetery customer service and pre-planning before moving on to funeral home administration.
In 2023, she graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science and is now a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer as well as a Licensed Crematory and Alkaline Hydrolysis Operator. She has begun her self-described dream job, providing compassionate and personalized care to families in their time of need.
To her, a career in funeral service is much more than a business venture. It is a privilege not taken lightly—a sacred opportunity to connect with her community, learn their stories and traditions, and guide them through circumstances that can often be overwhelming and confusing.
Proud to live and work on Chicago’s northwest side, Hanne enjoys supporting local record stores, restaurants, and other small businesses, as well as a good stroll through the Portage Park and Independence Park farmer’s markets with her husband Mason.
