We were very pleased with every aspect of the service here. Greg and his team--including Lee, Hanne and Silvio--were all very supportive and accommodating. We had a few special requests and every one of them was met with openness and expertise. Midtown Funeral Homes were very responsive and understanding of all of our needs during this time of loss. We had a traditional Buddhist ceremony and they were familiar with the culture and traditions of our religion. They went above and beyond to ensure a smooth service and we appreciate all their efforts.

Every detail of our experience at Midtown Funeral was exemplary and such a pleasant one that we approached the wake event with great anticipation knowing Greg and his staff would make sure all aspects of the memorial would be professionally and kindly executed.Not only was the staff warm and welcoming, but the facility was ideal for our needs. The fact that we would have access to the entire facility without having to share the space with anohter family was a real bonus. Also the large screen display was perfect for our slideshow for our guests.Having ample parking was also key, as many guests were from out of town and parking on city streets can be intimidating for some.I would highly recommend the experience, professionalism and care Midtown provides.Greg and Lee were very responsive to any requests we made and answered all our questions with a sense of urgency and timeliness.

I want to thank Greg from the bottom of our hearts for helping us say our final goodbyes to my grandfather. This review is long overdue, my apologies, a month does fly so fast. The funeral home is beautiful, clean, welcoming, and peaceful. The parking lot will fit a big crowd. We appreciate all the small touches of the preparation; to the final moments of their patience with us for taking forever to leave. Greg thank you again for everything! In a time of heartbreak and sadness you provided a service for my mother that was amazing! Not only that but it was simple and made me, my brothers, and sister very comfortable and the process was very smooth! For four kids that never not only dealt with the loss of their mom but having an organized service as such. I can’t express my appreciation enough! Beautiful, Thoughtful, Attentive, Professional, and Affordable describe my experience using Midtown Funeral Home. Proprietor Greg Lindeman and his team (Lee was fantastic) made a great facility a great experience. I have used the services of Midtown Funeral home 3 times in the last few years and have always felt like Greg made it as seamless as is possible. We felt that Greg had our back on all difficult decisions that have to be made at that time.

My dad passed away very suddenly a month ago due to lung cancer, and my intermediate family and I didn't have any plans on a funeral home or how to even start the funeral process.I remembered that my cousins and aunts went to Midtown Funeral Home when my grandma and uncle passed, and they worked with Greg on their funeral preparations.I called Greg at 2AM the day my dad passed, and he picked up the phone right away! He was able to coordinate everything in 24 hrs for my family and me. He walked us through the whole process of what's need and what were the next steps. He also knew the asian customs very well and offered that as an option for us if we wanted it! He also had some recommendations if we needed a florist or a headstone company.On the day of the funeral - everything went by so smoothly because of Greg and his team.My family and I honestly felt so taken care of by his team and him. Greg was very patient and so caring. Honestly - Midtown Funeral Home & Cremation options will be the only place I will be going to moving forward.If you're looking for a reliable and honest team or need help with the funeral process, Greg and his team are the people you should go to!

We are so thankful for Gregory and his team. My father-in-law passed away unexpectedly and we had to take care of the funeral arrangements on short notice. They were so kind and accommodating to our needs, and were not pushy at all. Their facilities are well cared for and there's plenty of parking too. It's also walking distance to the Blue Line, which made it accessible for everyone. We were very happy with our decision to go with Midtown Funeral Home.

I would highly recommend Greg and his associates at Midtown Funeral Home. They worked so very hard in making me feel comfortable while planning my mom’s wake in November 2023. So, when my husband unexpectedly died November 2024, I knew exactly where his funeral will be held. He wanted this funeral home because of the friendly and calm atmosphere. His siblings and I appreciated the attention and care for all who came to show their last goodbyes to Juan. The lounge was big enough and handicap accessible, which was yet another plus. The video component and online memory book was great for people who wanted to attend but couldn’t. I will forever be grateful for Greg at Midtown to help ease my heart during the hardest part of life. Thank you so much for taking care of both my mom and my husband. Please give Lola my love. She is a great dog that helped soothe my broken heart.

When I anticipated my father's death, I was fortunate to have the expertise of Greg Lindeman at Midtown Funeral Home to guide me through the planning of a Chinese funeral. He recommended some organizations and people to contact to create a dignified service. He also provided an estimate for cost the funeral service, and I never felt I was being pressured to purchase anything our family did not want to include.On the day of the funeral, his staff was very helpful and respectful even during the chanting from the monks and burning of incense. Midtown is a beautiful, tasteful, spacious and comforting funeral home, decorated with flowers and plants. Greg, the owner, is amazing and seems to be working at all hours of the day and night. He was there to talk to us whenever we needed information or a decision. My husband of 56 years passed away just one day after we had started looking at funeral homes. But Midtown made such a positive impression in one visit that we called on them when he died. Greg handled everything efficiently and kindly. He is a very kind and caring man. The facilities were perfect and included the ability to bring people in remotely over Zoom. The flowers Greg helped organize were amazing. I highly recommend Midtown.

Although these circumstances are always difficult, we were extremely pleased with the amazing customer service at Midtown. When my husband died unexpectedly, we had not made previous plans for a funeral. My children and I were complete novices to the process. A friend suggested Midtown Funeral Home on Irving Park Road, which was close for our friends to visit. For those who would fly in, it was conveniently located near the Kennedy Expressway and not very far from O'Hare Airport.We were impressed by the lovely building, which had a choice of room sizes for gatherings. We were happy to hear that only one funeral is scheduled at a time, unlike other places which can have several funeral gatherings at one time.Gregory Lindeman, director, led us to a planning area. He began by asking us a series of helpful question providing a framework of ideas from which to plan the funeral. He listened carefully to our wishes which guided us through the process that day and through the following days.There were opportunities for a lovely service within our budget. We chose a viewing. The viewing was immediately followed by a prayer service led by a deacon and several family members and long time friends who paid tribute to my husband. Greg had very good suggestions to follow in planning our roles in the service.We also opted for a slide show of my husband's life to be played during the viewing hours, until time for the service. We had the service broadcasted live at our request for friends and family who could not be there. We have very lovely memories of the day and my husband would have been very pleased.

Midtown Funeral Home made planning my dear Aunt’s funeral stress free. Greg is a wonderful help and a compassionate man. He helped us plan a lovely funeral that was very fitting for my Aunt. He is very knowledgeable in what is needed and very helpful with filing the necessary paperwork and setting things up with the cemetery. The funeral home architecture is beautiful and well kept. Working with a funeral home isn't anything that anyone wants to do. Especially if you're handling the service for the love of your life and best friend. Greg and his family have been in this business for decades. This used to be the Cooney funeral home back in the day and I chose it more for the location. Plus my buddy Benny B and my wife's aunt had their service here. Greg and his team made this such an easy process that I would recommend everyone to go here for this unfortunate and unwanted event. After the services Greg the funeral director and I talked as two people, correction as two friends. Next time I'm in Chicago I'm going to stop by just to say hello and thank him again for his professionalism and for just being a great person in the worst time. You don't think to hug someone someone doing this job but we hugged as compadres.

I recently attended a service at Midtown Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Although the occasion was very sad, the funeral home itself was well appointed with the ambiance of serenity and peace. The décor was very simple but elegant and those running it were very attentive and compassionate. I know my friend would be at peace knowing her passing was handled with such grace and kindness in such a beautiful place.

It’s never easy losing a loved one- in addition to planning a funeral. The folks at Midtown Funeral Home were empathic, professional, and detailed. My family and I appreciated everything that was done to help make our goodbye special and comforting.
