Enrique Ramos, age 54

Born in Mexico City, Quique discovered a passion for baking at the age of 15. A talent that brought joy to so many through his delicious cakes, cookies, and pastries. He turned that passion into a career when he moved to Chicago in 1990. He remained in Chicago where he built a vibrant life, forging deep connections and friendships and was a beloved partner in the Latin dancing community throughout the 2000s. Beyond the bakery and the dance floor, he was a gifted artist. He spent years mastering the art of cosmic spray painting. Those of us lucky enough to have his work hanging on our walls cherish them deeply. Quique was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. He was free spirited, independent and talented with a unique and kind soul. He leaves behind a legacy of beautiful memories that will be held close by all who knew and loved him. To know him truly was to love him. He will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held Wednesday July 22 from 2PM to 8PM, with a prayer service held at 6PM at Midtown Funeral Home and Cremation Options, 3918 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago. Interment private.
