OBITUARY

Teresa Lynn Kerber (Teri/Hyme), 66, died on Saturday, February 4, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Teri was the second of five children born to James (deceased)and Beverly Kerber (remarried to Jack Bethke). Teri grew up in Chicago, spent some time in Arizona & recently lived in Antioch, Il.

Teri went to school in Chicago at Patrick Henry grammar school, Roosevelt High School & Wright Junior College. She spent her working years in the accounting field for various hospitals.

Teri is survived by her mother and best friend Beverly, three sisters, Jeri (Dan Barr), Karen and Budgie, her brother Jimmy and many nephews, nieces & family friends who loved their Auntie Teri.

Teri loved the simple things in life, the most important of which was spending time with family & friends. Sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee telling tales and enjoying your company was a perfect day for Teri, and anyone who was lucky enough to be there with her. Her sense of humor was quirky & subtle and she would have you laughing most of the time. Her one-liners & zingers were priceless.

Teri loved music and could be found dancing at the local establishments on most weekends as a young adult. She loved her Cubbies, becoming an Andy Frain usher for a short period until management realized she was just there to watch the game and really didn’t care if you found your seat. If you’ve ever spent a day at Wrigley with Teri, you remembered it and couldn’t wait for the next opportunity. She was also a big Bears fan, never missing a game on TV, and became a college football junkie in recent years. She loved swimming and hanging by the lake on a nice summer day.

Teri kept in contact with her loved ones by sending her wacky greeting cards, usually well ahead of the actual holiday or special day. She looked forward to sending them, and it was a treat to go to the mailbox and find a card from Teri. Those will be missed by all.

Teri suffered with some ailments throughout her years, but did her best to fight through them while keeping her complaints to herself. Her loving soul was an absolute pleasure to experience.

Rest in peace our beautiful daughter, sister, aunt & friend. Our loss is truly heavens’ gain.
