I have known Mike since 2007, the first year I went to Gaithersburg high school. He’s was always a joy to be around and was always kind to others. If he didn’t understand someone or their problem he would always try to figure out a way to make them feel better. One of my favorite things about Mike was his honesty. No matter what, if you knew him or not, he would tell you exactly what he was thinking. Straight up. A lot of times, when he did that, people around him would erupt in laughter. It is these memories of Mike that make me and so many others grateful that we were fortunate enough to call him a friend. He will be dearly missed and throughout the rest of my life I will surely find myself reminiscing upon the memories we shared together.

I’ve been friends with Mike since high school, when I met all of the Gaithersburg group. Through the years we’ve all stayed in touch and every time I saw Mike he would talk about how happy he was that we were all still friends. It never mattered how much time had gone by, every time I saw him he would ask about what was new in my life and genuinely wanted to catch up and hear about what you’ve been up to. He was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. He was always making everyone laugh and smile. I have so many memories of Mike throwing NYE parties when we would all come back in town during our college years. It was so nice to all be able to be together year after year catching up. I can’t imagine the group hangouts without him, he will be greatly missed by all of us and his spirit will never be forgotten ♥️
