Mr. Tod D. Piersel, age 66

It is with deep sorrow to inform you the passing of my husband and best friend, Todd Piersel. Todd was born on March 3, 1959 in Davenport, Iowa to Thomas and Deejay (Peterson) Piersel. Todd was employed at LaSalle Bank for many years before working for the Chicago Cubs. He was huge Cubs fan. And he was thrilled we were able to attend the World Series and watch his team win the Championship. He had lost nearly 100 pounds over the past year and worked out religiously. He was always learning something new and began learning Spanish daily for 3 years. His sense of humor, kindness and loyalty to friends and family was the reason they called him a “gentle giant.” A Celebration of Life with take place at Fuller’s Pub, 3203 W Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60618 on March 14, 2026 from 11am - 3pm. And an additional Celebration of Life for our friends and family in Iowa on March 21, 2026 at Grumpy’s Saloon, 2120 E 11th Street. Davenport, IA. From 130pm - 4pm. Todd is survived by his wife Mary, mother Deejay Piersel, sisters Janet Jackson, Nancy Piersel (Jeff Dickson), MariAnn Lisenbee (Dana), brother Roy Piersel (Janice). Nieces, Justine Scheib (Nathan), Berten Lisenbee, Samantha Roundtree and McKenna Piersel. Nephews, Drew Jackson (Lyndsy), AJ Lisenbee and Jack Piersel. Great nieces, Addison, Lacey and Finley Scheib, Kyndsy Jackson and Kiana Boots.
