OBITUARY

Mr. Marc Adam Grimshaw, age 61. On Tuesday,July 9, 2024,Marc left us to go to heaven. He was diagnosed with end stage renal failure in 2019 and later congestive heart failure in 2022. He fought a good fight as some days were much tougher to get through than others.
He graduated from St. Benedicts High School and did military service in the U.S.Navy.He worked for many years at the Chicago Transit Authority and later in life attended LeCordon Bleu Culinary School where he received his chef certificate. Advocates for those who couldn't do for themselves, Marc and his wife Anna devoted their time together to rescuing animals. In all, they provided a home to four dogs, four cats and four ferrets over the fifteen years they shared together. Marc was preceded in death by his father Ralph, his mother Donna (nee Roskopf) and his oldest son Phillip.He leaves behind his loving wife Anna, son Matthew, step sons Justin and Jesse, step daughter Dawn, five grandsons and one granddaughter. Visitation Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 3pm to 9pm at Midtown Funeral Home and Cremation Options, 3918 West Irving Park Road, Chicago. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be to the animal shelter and rescue organization of your choice. Marc, you were so well liked. The jokes you told when you were just out of the Navy. While you were in high school and I would be downstairs at ypu Grandma G's you would visit and tease me constantly. You would also drink my cups of tea she would make, then we would laugh. I will sure miss you. You are well loved

It was a pleasure knowing you these past couple years. I will miss our random talks about music, movies, and politics. I appreciate you being there for me last summer and giving me emotional support during a tough time in my personal life. I’m eternally grateful for your kindness and friendship. You will be loved and missed!
