OBITUARY
Kathryn June (Peretti) Evans, age 56, of Chicago, Illinois, fell asleep in death on July 15, 2025, awaiting the promised resurrection (John 5: 28, 29):"Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tomb, will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practice vile things to a resurrection of judgment."
Born on March 17, 1969 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Peter Oral Peretti, and Judy Peretti. She dedicated her life to Jehovah and symbolized that dedication by water baptism on January 27, 1990. Kathy married Theodore (Ted) Ghoston Evans on July 30, 1994 and this year celebrates 31 year of marriage.
Sister Evans faithfully served Jehovah for 35 years and demonstrated her love for preaching and teaching by serving as a regular pioneer for nearly 30 years. She was a member of the Lincoln Park Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Known for her kind and warm personality, she was a spiritual encouragement to all who knew her. In addition to her love of Jehovah, Kathy loved teaching first grade in The Chicago Public Schools for almost 35 years. Kathy loved music, especially Kingdom songs, some of her favorites included "Best Life Ever", "Feed My Faith", "Truly in Love", "He Knows Us, We Can’t Hold Back", and "How Does it Make You Feel?".
She is survived by her husband Theodore Ghoston Evans; Her brother Robert Peretti and his children Peter (Peretti (and his wife Diana and children Samson, Sophia and Sheperd), William Peretti, Quaylin Peretti, Michi Peretti (and her son Damien Tiggens), Keegan Crawford (and her husband Gavin), friends throughout many congregations. She was preceded in death by her father Peter Oral Peretti and her mother Judy Peretti.
The funeral service will be at 2PM on Saturday, July 26 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness of Lincoln Park, 1301 North Mohawk Street, Chicago, Illinois 60610.
