OBITUARY

Patricia Grace Jotzat (nee Kneitz), who loved to be called Ma/Madre, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on April 16, 2024, after a long battle with Polycystic kidney disease (PKD).

Patricia, a.k.a Patty, Trish & Patsy McCloud, was born on December 20, 1961 in Chicago, IL, the oldest of four children to the late Marilyn (Nowicki) and Kenneth Kneitz.

Surviving Patty is her husband of 35 years, Ronald Jotzat, Jr. But her pride and joy, her legacy and the center of her world were her beloved 7 children. Patty was Ma to Amy (Michael), Doyle (Betty) Tunnat, Tasha, Ronnie (Sahara), Veronica, Jordan & Orbee, her 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was the beloved sister to the late Mark Kneitz, William (Christina) Kneitz and late Kenneth Kneitz and the fond Aunt of Marcus Kneitz.

Ma was truly one of a kind, the most selfless and giving person. She always put the needs of others before her own. She was a strong woman, who faced every challenge in her life with courage and a pure heart. She was fiercely dedicated to her family and nothing was more important to her than her beloved children, always putting them first, always sacrificing herself for their wellbeing.

She was a true role model who will truly be missed by all that knew her.

Visitation to celebrate Patty’s life will be held Thursday, April 25. 2024 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Midtown Funeral Home, 3918 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago. Funeral services will be on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 10:00 at the Chapel at Midtown. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Chicago.

The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to a GoFundMe campaign: gofund.me/0c953c11.

Patty, I can't believe you're gone. I already miss your smile and laughter and our friendship that was more like sisters. We shared so much with each other , good and bad , and laughed so hard together. I'm going to miss all of it every single thing. The world is a little darker these last few days without you. Thank you for teaching me how to be a good wife and mom . Please save a seat for me at the table up there and have one rolled. I think it's a bunch of bullshit that you're gone already though. But I'm happy that you're not in any pain and you are truly home now.

Our deepest condolences to Ronnie, your children, grandkids and great grandkids. May you rest in peace.
