He was a great story teller and often spoke of his family back home in Puerto Rico.He often spoke of his first jobs in the big city of Chicago.Frank was a proud veteran of the US army. He met and married his wife Lois on Dec 12, 1957. Frank was very proud of working for the Chicago Park District for over 40 years and went on to work for the Water Reclamation District for an additional 17 years. Frank also enjoyed being the Precinct Captain of his ward, where he worked on many local elections, always ensuring all constituents had a chance to vote. Frank was a very friendly person and had many friends through his association with the local pubs. As Frank got older he continued to maintain his status as a fixture in the community. In recent years, as it was difficult for him to move around much, he would say, "my age is catching up with me." He loved to sit on his front porch feeding the birds, and giving the neighborhood pups treats. He also enjoyed chatting with his neighbors whenever the opportunity presented itself. He loved seeing the kids outside playing, laughing and enjoying the neighborhood. A favorite pastime was playing Dominoes and teaching others to play, especially with his good friend "Tiny" and his son. Frank passed on his birthday on October 18,2024 surrounded by friends and family. His loving grandaughter Jessica suggested Franks' late wife Lois called him to heaven to celebrate his birthday with her. He is already missed greatly by his friends, family and neighbors.
