OBITUARY

Juan (“Johnny”) Antonio Perez, 51, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2024 surrounded by his family at his bedside. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, his pride of joy fur-daughter, Cecy. Siblings: Gilberto (Araceli) Perez and Luz (Jerry) Happel. Brother-in-law Daniel (Patricia) Wold. Many cousins, nieces, and nephew and lots of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Elisa Perez, in-laws, Kenneth and Rosalinda Wold, cousin, Angelica Perez-Diaz, and godmother, Ines Lucio.

Juan grew up in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood. He was a devoted Catholic man. Juan attended St Callistus grammar school and Holy Trinity High School. He was a parishioner at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church.

Juan was a man of many hobbies: woodworking, gardening, car detailing, cooking, messing around with his DJ equipment. He and his loving puppy girl would take plenty of walkies around the block, sit outside and chill. Listening to his music was his jam: old school House, Freestyle, Banda, and Norteno music just to list a few. He loved everything car related – from playing hot wheels to collecting hot wheels to making car models.

Unfortunately, he was a devoted Chicago White Sox fan despite being with a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.

His sense of humor, and caring personality will be greatly missed.

Juanito,
My friend, my brother. We met as two young kids in high school trying to fit in but in doing so we forged a lifelong friendship. I admired your quiet strength, your kindness, and your beautiful heart that you shared unconditionally. I will miss you so much Juan Perez but I am at ease knowing that you are now in heaven, an angel smiling and watching over us. Rest in peace my friend.
Always remembering you,
Joel Ortega
