OBITUARY

Americo Trujillo, III age 31 beloved son, grandson, brother and friend left this world on October 30, 2024. He was born on August 16, 1993 to Americo, Jr. and Elizabeth Trujillo. Americo was kind and gentle. Never thought twice about helping anyone out.

As a child he went to Ravenswood Christian School. This is where he spent many of his happiest years. He made friends that he still knows to this day. He also attended Maplewood Bible Baptist Church where he was saved and baptized when he was much younger. In a sincere testament to his beliefs, he later reaffirmed his faith at Ravenswood Baptist Church, seeking a renewed spiritual connection through the baptism performed by Pastor Engle.

A funeral service to honor Americo's life will be held at Midtown Funeral Home and Cremation Options, located at 3918 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL, on November 6, 2024, from 4 pm to 8 pm with a service at 7:00pm conducted by Pastor Engle.

For those who grieve his loss, finding comfort in the words of John 14:1-3 might ease the heartache: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you also may be where I am."

My dear sweet cousin, I remember when you were a little boy (~3 yrs old) and my mother and I had paid a visit to Chicago and were getting ready to go back to NYC. I remember you laying into my suitcase (it was a big suitcase) telling me that you didn’t want us to go and that I should take you with me. You were so sweet and adorable! That is how I will always remember you! I know that you are in a better place, but you will be missed!
Love you Primo, may you sleep in peace!

Chucky, Chris Castaneda, and I have been friends since kindergarten at RBCS, approximately 26 years. He was always super funny and charismatic from when we were young children and through now with his memes. He was also an inspiration, as his road through fitness inspired both Chris and I to exercise too. He will forever remain in our hearts.

My dear great friend Americo, I honestly do not know where to begin. But I’ll start by saying thank you, thank you for all of the wonderful memories we ever shared together, thank you for always being there for me whenever I needed a friend the most, thank you for being an incredible listener, thank you for all of the awesome laughs we shared together, thank you for for helping me and showing me what it feels like to be free and look at the world in a different/better way, thank you for teaching me your ways of working out/training me. Cheers to our friendship since we began in Lakeview High School, and Mr. Potter was our division teacher throughout the four years of high school which is exactly where we met. I’ll never forget you I promise you. Your friendship to me means more than you’ll ever know, you weren’t just any friend to me you were a very special friend to me, if there was anything I could do differently it would be that I could be there more for you although I feel like I failed you. You’ve always had an amazing heart, and personality there’s truly none like you. I know you’re in a much better place now, but I know I’ll see you on the other side. I love you always, and forever Shrimpy.

Sincerely your friend,

Ryan S. Loveless

My dear sweet nephew, you were just too good for this world. You're heart was too big and God decided He needed you up there. I will always cherish the memories of you with my daughter and your goofiness. RIP Chucky! We will miss you but know you are much better off than any of us right now. Say Hi to my father for me.

Chucky, my sweet gentle primo favorito. It was hard to find childhood photos of you that I wasn't in. We did everything together. Vacations, sleepovers, road trips, family parties......you were the reason all those things were fun. The laughs we had were different. The type of laughs where no sound comes out and tears roll down your face and your stomach hurts. No one has ever been able to make me laugh as easily as you could. As adults, you were still there for me. Even when I became a mother and couldn't spend as much time with you as I wanted, we still messaged constantly. Your written words were always so beautiful, so articulate. You were so intelligent. So gentle. So KIND. I wish so badly you could've seen yourself through my eyes! I adored you. Protected you. Loved you. Laughed with you. You were special Chucky, I'm so sorry this world was so cruel to you, I wish I could've protected you more. I promise you I tried... I hope God is holding you right now and you feel our love. Keep writing those scripts for the new Spy Kids movies, we will definitely be filming more when we meet again! Although I don't think we will ever be able to top the time when we accidently lit abuelas nightgown on fire! I love you primo. I won't say goodbye. I'll see you later my love. Besos.

We met in Lakeview high school but we got along after I graduated. We had a love for weight lifting , Americo helped me get my first bench. He taught me the basics forms for lifting. He was such a caring and helpful friend!
I’ll forever cherish all of our adventures and PRs
Love you ! Rest in peace , my friend.
