Phoebe Jacobson joined the Jacobson family in November of 2007.
Since then, Phoebe has been an incredible example of love, trust, and joy in the lives of the Jacobson family as well as for everyone who interacted with her. As a result of her incredible poise and calming energy, it was decided that she would be an appropriate candidate for serving her community as a therapy dog. Phoebe often attends funerals and joins together with families in mourning to offer comfort and support in a way that only she knows how. Phoebe loves her job at Midtown Funeral Home and Cremation Options and considers the chapel to be another home. She is grateful to the caring staff and all of her friends, neighbors and family who take care of her. Phoebe is also proud to have been the host for a number of years of “Bingo with Phoebe and Friends” at the Lieberman Geriatric Center, where she loved to support and visit her Bubby, Rosalind Jacobson z”l, and many other amazing elderly friends. When she is not in the Skokie chapel, you may phind Phoebe at Bent Park, the Skokie Nature Reserve, or snuggled in the lap of a loved one.
