OBITUARY

Christine P. Baker, passed away on August 9th at the of age 75.

Loving wife of Horace M. Wright. Cherished mother of Khary I. Wright and Dustin Myers-Levy. Dear aunt of Kimberly and Drew Baker.

Beloved daughter of the late Barbara Woofenden Baker and the late Frank Baker and sister of the late Andy Baker.

Christine was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Barbara Woofenden Baker and the late Frank Baker. Christine attended Wayne State University where she studied computer science. She was the Operations Manager of O.A.T.S (O'Hare Airport Transit System) from 1991 to 2023.

Christine will be remembered for her strength, courage and kindheartedness. She was a devoted wife and mother for over 46 years. She really enjoyed fine dining and entertainment with friends and relatives. She always donated to multiple charities and toy drives throughout her life. An advent cat lover that was more like a cat "whisperer" than anything else. She was always a bastion of great support and guidance who always gave the best advice. My mother had a heart of gold... She took a motherless child and raised him as her own. She will be forever missed and cherished.

I wish I would have gotten to give you a hug. I wish we had more time beyond your text that said you’d tell me more tomorrow, but tomorrow never came.

I am blessed that I heard your laugh over the phone and heard your excitement over planning places to go when I visited. Thank you for taking care of Khary and Horace all of these years. You will be missed by many.
